When a ravaging plague, the Purple Death, strikes Earth, it is believed that Ming the Merciless is behind it. Flash starts off for Ming's headquarters to begin one of the most devastating battles of his career.

With one last chance to save mankind, an antidote for the Purple Death is discovered in the unbearably cold land of Frigia. Flash heads there with one of Ming's shops in hot pursuit.

While on a fateful mission to bring back the antidote to the Purple Death, Polarite, Flash and his party are attacked by the "walking bombs," an army of mechanical men.

After gathering enough Polarite to counteract the death dust of the Purple Death, Flash rescues Dale and Dr. Zharkov from a destroying ray as they return to Earth.

Flash returns to Ming's palace and successfully rescues Dale and Dr. Zharkov -- only to find that they are being attacked by Prince Barin, who mistakes them for his enemy, Ming.

With the aid of Dr. Zharkov's new thermal-control construction, Flash attempts to disengage one of Ming's fiery projectiles that threatens to destroy Prince Barin's kingdom.

Ming the Merciless dispatches gas bombers to destroy Prince Barin's palace. As the planes start their bombing, Flash battles to thwart the attack.

Dale and Princess Aura are being held captive in an electrically trapped room, which Flash must penetrate to free them.
