S5 E47 • Ineka V Crystal, Rachel V Christine
Ineka is Claiming £4,499 for the cost to replace her mobile phone which she says her former friend has stolen, as well as for the emotional distress caused. Crystal denies stealing the phone. Rachel is claiming £3,060 owed on a loan she made with a friend to help pay off debts. Christine says Rachel was aware repayment was dependent on her receiving money owed from a third party and as this is yet to happen she should be given more time.

Jale is in court claiming £2,000 for the value of a tractor which she says belonged to her but her Mother sold it without permission. Sylvia says she is entitled to sell the tractor as she and her husband owned it, therefore she owes nothing. Daniel is claiming £1,600 owed on a car he sold to his de facto son. Defendant Dwayne says he had to prioritise financial obligations towards his family and due to Daniel's behaviour towards him he is refusing to pay for the car.

Charlene is claiming £5,000 owed on a loan to a former friend to landscape her garden. Her friend Allissia denies owing any money as she says the terms of the loan were never discussed and as they were living together, it was a gift. She is counterclaiming £1,000 for rent arrears. Vicki is in court to claim back £1,636 for the outstanding amount owed for her former partner's funeral which she says his brother had agreed to cover. Sam admits he offered to pay but as he wasn't consulted on costs and Vicky's behaviour has affected his business he owes nothing.

Abigail is in court to claim £376.15 for the amount owed on a phone contract she took out for a friend. Defendant Ben says due to a serious illness he was unable to work and could not afford the repayments. Dominic is in court to claim £4,925 on behalf of his mother for a loan she took out for his brother to pay for a car. Defendant Chris says he was unable to secure funds to pay off the loan and as his Mother knew the risks, he owes nothing.

Abigail is in court to claim £299.95 for non-payment of wages as well as an administration fee for her role in a short film. Defendant Jon disputes owing this amount as there was never an agreement regarding administration fees. Jay is in court to claim £100 for the first months installment on a car he sold to a friend which he later took back. Defendant Stephen says as the car was not roadworthy her owes nothing, he is counterclaiming £477 for the costs incurred whilst in possession of the vehicle.

Karl is in court to claim £2,780 for the upkeep of his horse which the previous owner sold without his consent. Janette defends herself by saying Karl was given the horse on a temporary basis therefore she owes nothing. John is in court to claim £3,620 owed on loans he made to his friend but never received any repayments. Defendant Imi says there were never any formal agreements for the loans and as he had helped John in lieu of repayments he owes nothing.

Stacey is in court to claim £410 for the amount her mother has stolen from her over time as well as compensation for abuse she suffered as a child. Defendant Shirley says her daughter is lying about the money and the abuse therefore she owes nothing. She is counterclaiming £2,500 compensation for the harassment she has received from Stacey. Chris is in court to claim £4,704.30 owed for gardening work and expenses after a customer refused to let him finish the job. Defendant Lynette denies owing any money as she says the work was left unfinished and was substandard, she is counterclaiming £2,598 to rectify the work done as well as the money she paid upfront.

Victoria is in court to claim £550 owed on loads she made to her sister. Defendant Sarah says as she’s loaned money to Victoria in the past and never expected it back the debt should be written off. Lorraine is in court to claim £400 for the value of her mobility scooter which she part exchanged for a new one which was subsequently taken back by the seller. John says Lorraine failed to pay for the new scooter and as it was returned damaged, he owes nothing. He is counterclaiming £352.11 for the repair costs

Jayne is in court to claim £3,122.42 from her brother who withdrew cash from her account without permission as well as the interest accrued and other expenses. Robert admits he spent some of his sister’s money but disputes owing this amount. Paul is in court to claim £270 owed for a holiday which he paid for on the agreement his friend would contribute half the cost. Tim disputes owing this amount and says as there was no written agreement he owes nothing.

Defendant James says he isn’t in a position to repay the loan and as they are family, the debt should be written off.

Norma is in court to claim £3,322.55 owed on a loan she made to her friend to help pay for her wedding. Defendant Molly says since being made redundant her circumstances have changed and she is unable to pay the money back in one lump sum.

Guy is in court to claim £4,000 from his ex-wife for 10% of an outstanding loan made to her son on her recommendation to invest in a new business. Defendant Cynthia says she's not responsible for the debt as the contract was between Guy and her son therefore she owes nothing.

Defendant Nic says the accident wasn't his fault as there was a problem with the steering therefore he owes nothing. Alan is in court to claim £600 owed on a loan he made to his friend to pay for a shopping spree. Cameron is in court to claim £660.10 from his former friend for non-payment of wages as well as other expenses. Defendant James disputes the duration of time Cameron worked for him therefore says he does not owe the full amount.

Defendant Ali says he transferred the lease into Emma's name and as she broke their agreement, he owes nothing. He is counterclaiming £5,000 he says she still owed for the lease. Andy is in court claiming £839.92 for a paint sprayer which he lent to his nephew but never received back as well as money owed on loans. Defendant Graham denies owing money for the paint sprayer as he left it in a secure location and as it was agreed he wouldn't have to pay back the loans until he's fully qualified, he owes nothing.

Defendant Ann says it was agreed she would pay her mother back once she sold a valuable item and as this is no longer possible, she owes nothing.
