Arthur gives some landscaping work to a group of ex-criminals, who the Vicar of St Chad's, is (thus far, unsuccessfully) trying to persuade to 'go straight'.

When the local gents tailor is going out of business, he wants Arthur to get a gang together and rob his safe so he can claim on the insurance. but things start to go wrong, when the leader of the gang, Scotch Harry is accidentally blown up and he goes to Arthur for help.

Arthur sells tracksuits and watches to some Russian Seaman, but one of them goes missing and tries to defect. When Arthur tries to bank the Russian money they will not except it. Arthur's nephew Nigel comes to work at the car lot.

A lawyer comes to see Arthur for some help in tracing an old man who has come into a considerable amount of money.

S6 E7 • Minder on the Orient Express

When Terry helps out a girl who was being mugged, she repays him by giving him a couple of tickets for a holiday on the Orient Express. The girl turns out to be Nikki South,the daughter of Jack South, a big time crook who has died, and has left a large amount of money in a Swiss bank account. When Arthur finds out , he cons the other ticket off Terry and the two of them set off for Venice accompanied by several other travelers all of whom are also interested in the Swiss bank account, but the only clue to the money is a locket that Nikki carries around her neck, and a picture of the 1971 Arsenal cup winning football team.

S6 E8 • A Little Bit of Give and Take

An old friend of Arthur's, Charlie Barker, has been banged up and the arrival of his son Shaun provides a problem when he asks Artuhur for somewhere to kip. Arthur's all set for a trip with 'er indoors to the "Costa Packet" leaving Terry to look after the lad. Shaun will have some tough decisions to make when confronted with the prospect of taking drugs - will he make the right choice?
