Seung Joo used to be a freelancing producer who directed her own TV shows. She lands a job at UBS Broadcasting Station, and she is excited to start a new chapter of her life. However, the society has prejudice on women who live alone. Right then, she meets Jak Doo.

Gan Nan is surprised by Eun Jo’s call and rushes to send Seung Joo back home. Meanwhile, Jak Doo meets Eun Jo on his way back home.

She tries her best to protect what Jak Doo wanted to protect so much, but things don’t go as easily as she thought. Meanwhile, Jak Doo also goes to Seoul to take Joong Rye to a hospital.

Se Mi finds out that Seung Tae and Jeong Mi are seeing each other. Seung Joo misses Jak Doo a lot, but she believes that he will be better off staying away from her and her family. Eric tries to teach Jak Doo etiquettes and manners more fit for the documentary filming, but the efforts prove futile. Eric dresses up Jak Doo as Oh Hyuk for the showcase event, and Jak Doo meets Seung Joo at the event hall.

Seung Joo starts to address Jak Doo as Oh Hyuk, and Jak Doo gets furious. Seung Joo tells Jak Doo that she is not going to work on Cheongwoldang’s documentary film anymore. Jak Doo confesses that he still has feelings towards her. However, Seung Joo tells him that they should get separated from now on. Jak Doo decides to cooperate with Eric and does his best to learn manners and etiquettes from Eric.

Seung Joo meets Jak Doo to tell him that she will accept his offer and will direct the documentary film for his sake. She adds that, however, she will protect him by his side from now on. Jeong Mi tells Jeong Ok that Jak Doo, the herb gatherer, is none other than the good looking gentleman Oh Hyuk. To her great surprise and pleasure, Jeong Ok finds out that her daughter and Jak Doo are seeing each other again.

Eun Jo bursts into tears after hearing what Jak Doo said during the television interview. In Pyo finds out that Jak Doo and Seung Joo are seeing each other again. Jeong Ok pays a visit to Seung Joo’s place to discuss Jeong Mi’s move in and sees Jak Doo there. She meets the ladies from Gura Village to find out Jak Doo’s phone number.

Jak Doo rescues Seung Joo from In Pyo. In Pyo visits Eric right after the incident to tell him that he should leave Seung Joo out of the documentary filming. Eun Jo asks Gyeong Sook to cancel the shooting and call it a day as Jak Doo and Seung Joo didn’t show up. Se Mi meets Seung Joo and tells her why she and Jak Doo should stay together at her place. Meanwhile, Jak Doo visits the prison to meet the man who tried to murder Seung Joo to ask him not to cooperate with In Pyo anymore.

The broadcasting station is concerned about the anonymous letter they received because it condemned In Pyo for committing wrongdoings. In Pyo assures the staff saying that he will take care of it. Worried about In Pyo’s intention, Eric calls Gyeong Sook to discuss a plan together to deal with the ongoing situation. In Pyo is looking for Seung Joo and Jak Doo, for he doesn’t know that they went to Jak Doo’s hometown to work on their one-man-video production for the documentary filming.

Jak Doo confesses how he left behind his grandfather, the legendary gayageum maker, for he didn’t want to live like his old man. Meanwhile, In Pyo releases the video footage of Jak Doo with Seung Joo to the media, to cause a controversy about her directing the documentary with Oh Hyuk and thereby ruin her career completely. Seung Joo comforts Jak Doo and tells him that now is the time to face it. Jak Doo meets Eric, and together they come up with a plan to resolve this controversy once and for all.

Eric tells Jak Doo that Seung Joo got a job offer from a broadcasting station. Seung Joo decides to live in the country with Jak Doo and asks him to marry her, but Jak Doo refuses and tells her that he wishes to live in Seoul with Seung Joo. However, Seung Joo realizes how Jak Doo was back then, and tells him to go back to where he belongs, and they start a long distance relationship.

After Jak Doo leaves, Seung Joo feels the emptiness of him gone. From simple things like eating and watering the plants, she realized how every part of her life has been touched by him. Seung Joo decides that living without Jak Doo is pointless, so she goes to the countryside to be close to him. Seung Joo tells Jak Doo that being together is better than being alone, and he asks her to tell him the three little words that were so hard for her to say.
