He examines how America wanted to mould the defeated [West] Germany in it's own image through forced re-education. - The Venerable Bede: The story of Bede (673-735), Britain's first historian, who he was, how and where he lived, and why he is so important. Also talks about his [possible] journey from Northumbria to Rome. - The Levellers: Three months ago Michael Foot [leader of the Labour Party] and other members of the Labour Party gathered in Putney Church to associate themselves with the men of the New Model Army. In their radicalism these men saw Cromwell as right wing and a member of the 'establishment'. How does the philosophy of these Levellers find echoes in the today's Labour Party.
