S2 E1 • Craft Craftsman Courtyard
By taking the classic craftsman feel from inside the house and bringing it into the yard, Jake and Joel turn this tiny, rundown yard into an expansive and relaxing space for the whole family. Anchored in the center of the yard by a rustic water feature made from railroad ties, the yard features a custom bar faced with period specific wainscoting, a deck made from composite materials and one of a kind privacy wall inspired by the homeowners wedding picture.
S2 E2 • Rubicon Trail
Jake and Joel Moss take a backyard that's loaded with mounds and mounds of trash and turn it into a High Sierra hilltop perfect for a jeeping adventure seeker. The brothers take inspiration from the Rubicon Trail, a well known passage used by off-road vehicle enthusiasts in California's High Sierras. They build a luxury campsite complete with an historic logging flume waterfall that spills into a serene pond, bring in huge mountain top boulders, fashion a firepit out of moss rocks that doubles as a barbeque, and forge a trailway big enough for a jeepster to park his rig on to enjoy the peace and quiet of the regal yet rustic space.
S2 E3 • Ultimate Outdoor Lounge
The Brothers Moss transform a complete disaster of a yard into an outdoor lounge feel that the entire family can enjoy. Honing in on the homeowners contemporary style and need for usable outdoor space, a backlit wall with a custom redwood bench extends from the side of the house. A stamped concrete fire pit and a one of kind mosaic tile water feature dominate the center of the yard. This yard is complete with a family activity area with a football field made from long lasting synthetic turf.
S2 E4 • Trailer Chic
Jake and Joel Moss create a classic American Backyard for a 50's obsessed couple with a love for Vintage campers. Taking their cues from the homowners fleet of restored vehicles including a souped up hot rod, they create a one of a kind out door area including a bar faced with road signs and a hanging glass rack fashioned from a classic car bumper. The ranch style landscaping is anchored by a new lawn and finished off with time honored split rail fencing. A refurbished deck leads to an outdoor camping area complete with a firepit and space to park their fully restored cherry red travel trailer.
S2 E5 • Trippy Tudor
Jake and Joel Moss create a story book backyard for a newlywed couple who have a penchant for fantasy and adventure. The guys stay true to the Tudor style of the home by building a dining area that houses a beefy reclaimed wood table underneath an open pergola. An impressive oversized arbor off the new composite deck houses a moss-encircled flagstone pathway that leads wanderers around a beautifully landscaped two-tiered pond which is home to a water spewing dragon.
S2 E6 • Courtyard Kitchen
In a small, lifeless yard surrounded by cinderblocks walls, Jake and Joel aim for the sky with a design that blends art and food. A striking pergola structure covers the butcherblock cooking center which is surrounded by three original paintings. An oversized machine coil gives a rustic accent to a bistro table, while metal pipe inserts provide an industrical pop to new bench seating throughout the yard.
S2 E7 • Eclectic Entertainers Paradise
Jake and Joel Moss upgrade a blank space backyard into an entertainer's paradise. A massive fireplace made from a reclaimed diesel gas drum and concrete warms things up with seating on either side. A circular redwood deck floats on top of the new sod creating a lounge area with custom redwood chairs. To top it off, a new concrete patio is poured to house a metal and redwood pergola with a bar below accented by decorative tin tiles.
S2 E8 • Upscale Wine Lodge
With one family member having recently returned from being deployed overseas and another caring for a young child, Jake and Joel shoot for a low maintenance, high usability yard that reflects the homeowner's love for wine and weaponry. The yard's focal point is an elegant water feature built out of sliced wine bottles and a burgundy barrel catch basin. A wine bar skinned with gun-blue sheet metal is surrounded by reclaimed fence boards arranged in a random quilted pattern and adorned with antlers to kick up the wild game appeal. The refurbished PVC deck is the perfect spot to take in the whole yard while toasting the peaceful, alluring new yard.
S2 E9 • Muir Woods Retreat
Jake and Joel Moss revamp these new homeowners' rickety backyard into a woodsy getaway. Redwoods and boulders surround a meandering boardwalk that leads to a new deck. Reclaimed brick and wood create a stunning backdrop for a custom drop-down barbecue turning a new cooking station into a food lover's dream. Equipped with a grassy play area, this backyard will provide family fun for years to come.
S2 E10 • Outdoor Entertainment Lounge
How do you get homeowners who have a TV in every room to spend more time in the backyard? With another TV, of course! Jake and Joel do it up outdoor theater style with a brand new concrete patio crowned with a spacious pergola, an outdoor TV hung in a case made from repurposed pallett material, a backlit bubble wall popped with frosted plexiglass and turquoise metal, a matching coffee table, and a brand new lawn and landscaped area for the dog to join in the fun.
S2 E11 • Vibrant Poolside Lounge
Jake and Joel Moss turn a hazardous yard with an empty pool and decrepit deck into pool party central. A composite deck wraps around the refurbished pool providing entertaining space in the cramped yard. Along the back, an art wall brightens the space with vibrant colors fading into each other. A curved wall topped with a pergola creates a focal point behind the hot tub, with flagstone planters on both sides connected by a metal and wood bench. A new grill and colorful landscaping complete the look in this family-friendly party space.
S2 E12 • Backyard Zen Zones
The Moss Brothers take one very bland backyard and transform it into 3 sophisticated outdoor rooms that are perfect for entertaining. A composite bamboo deck is topped with an open pergola structure flanked by bamboo stenciled metal dividers and a cozy fireplace. The patio gets a big splash of color from interlocking slate tiles, a planter bed filled with golden daffodils and a sea green dry streambed topped with a peaceful monolithic fountain. Oversized concrete steppers lead visitors out to the repurposed redwood deck.

S2 E13 • Musical Jukebox Bar
The Brothers Moss match these homeowners jukebox loving style and give this backyard a much-needed upgrade. These homeowners will get a one of a kind patio with a moveable needle bench all on top of a concrete pad that represents a turntable. A liquor wall with recessed shelving stands behind a custom upholstered bar that has records set into the top. A state of the art BBQ island sits on a new wrap-around redwood deck for a meat lover's retreat. Throw in a 7 foot metal guitar that moonlights as a fire feature and you have an entertainers paradise.
