It's funny, but before listening to Badkid, I wasn't open to different musical styles. Locked in rap, other genres were too new to me. But hearing Bakar mix rap, punk, electro and R&NB opened me up to a whole range of albums and artists. In the end, what we love about this album is its demands, its provocation, but also its serenity. Badkid is about missing a father, the anger you feel against your government, loneliness, love, drugs and, above all, a DREAM. For me, this album stayed with me through my teen years and allowed me to dream. Thank you Bakar!
