Well as a prelude, I'll firstly introduce TXT, and my bond with them.

So who's TXT ?

They're not that famous so yeah you could not know them as well. Let me explain.

It's a group consisting of 5 Korean boys in their twenties wanting to build a new tomorrow together (in fact TXT = Tomorrow X Together) (clever right ?)

They're under the big company named "Hybe" (in the past it was actually called Bighit) and were constantly compared to their "older brothers", the well-known BTS. So yeah, they had quite a hard time building their real self without people bringing BTS in their accomplishments, but they finally created their own universe and story, and their fans were really proud of that. They had quite a quick fame in their debut thanks to the huge waiting of the fans, but they developed their own strong fanbase called "MOA" (which means Moments of Alwaysness) and which I'm a part of ! >.<

This album is their 7th, and I will review it today !
Warning ! I myself am a fan of that specific group, so of course this opinion will be biased, feel free to disagree !

I personally discovered them back in 2020, so this is the 3rd "comeback" with them (their 3rd album with me as a fan) and I had great expectations since their last album was my favourite, a real masterpiece. This one is for the majority about the guys getting through a breakup, with the 5 steps of mourning. There are in fact 5 music in that album.

So let's start !

1. Opening Sequence

This song is everything. I know a lot of MOA love this song and I understand so much. This brings artistic vibes, even without looking for the lyrics, you can understand the empty emotion the boys feel. That exact moment when you can't accept reality, so you keep replaying the moment when everything changed. It hurts and it's beautiful at the same time, the lyrics are beautiful, and the performance is even more. It's quite simple when you look at it like that, the melody is not prominent to let space to their voice. I'm a fan of great melodies with amazing instrumentals, but I understood their idea : an empty song for an empty boy.
The performance itself is everything I asked for, this is Taehyun's song and performance and I'm here for it. (But I'll talk more about the song than the performance)

9.5/10 ~ a masterpiece, a huge place in the best TXT's song

2. Good Boy Gone Bad

So here's the Title track, the one music that got a MV. And actually the only shadow zone in this album for me. Well I didn't like it that much, because it's simply not my time. But I think it's not only that. TXT has a flavor in their songs that gets you thinking whenever you listen to them "It's Tomorrow X Together for sure". But that one didn't have that flavor, it's not bad. But it doesn't feel like a real TXT song. But yeah I still liked so many parts like Soobin and Beomgyu's pre-chorus and Yeonjun's rap. I'm actually a fan of Taehyun's rapped voice and Huening Kai was so on point. This wasn't a disappointment, but it was not my favourite at all.
Still, the choreography is amazing, it makes me like it, and the whole meaning of anger is in the line of the album.

7/10 ~ not my taste but still well delivered by my boys

3. Trust fund baby

I didn't like that one as much as the others at first. I'm actually a big fan of calming TXT songs like Anti-Romantic, Magic Island or Nap of a Star, but that one is not my favourite. Still, when I looked at the lyrics, it made me love it so much. Their voice suits that song so much and it makes it even more emotional. The lyrics and vocals are certainly the best part, this one is about the injustice and feeling of never being enough because of money, and I love it. It kinda grew on me, and if it's not topping the others in the same style, it's a TXT song like I like it. It's also really hard to sing so yeah I'd like to praise them for their evolution in singing, every single one of them has a beautiful and original tone.

8.5/10 ~ a TXT song like I love it, not my favourite here but still a very good one

4. Lonely Boy - Yeonjun and Huening Kai

Here is that song. That song. It slaps. I'm actually not a fan of hip hop so I was not particularly waiting for something and oh boy I was wrong. I don't know if it's the way they sang and rapped it, but it was so emotional yet enjoyable. Hyuka was clearly immersed and we felt it, and the instrumental behind was soooo good ! (The urge to learn it actually-) this is extremely well delivered, I love it, close to perfection. It's still not my favourite of this album because the level is really high XD but yeah I have nothing else to say other than my boys did so well ! Oh and of course the lyrics are on point, here they talk about a promise that got broken and leaves them just alone with themselves. Amazing.

9.5/10 ~ I love it, maybe not my first choice but a great discovery and originality, well done !

5. Thursday's Child has far to go - Soobin, Taehyun and Beomgyu

Definitely my favourite. The instrumental, the melody, the chorus, the vocals, the lyrics, the meaning. I'm sorry but that one is totally biased, it's a masterpiece. Taehyun's vocals especially had me in shock, and producer Beomgyu never disappoint. I'm so glad this song came because it's actually my comfort song when I'm not feeling well. I don't have that many things to say, I hope we'll have at least one live performance, because it's so beautiful. A perfect song full of hope to conclude that album, a way to say that every big noun can be surpassed with time. It's not simple and not complex either. It's perfect.

10/10 ~ my favourite. Thank you

Conclusion

9/10 for that album, thank you for this masterpiece, made me love them even more.
A plus because they participated in the writing of every song, and I can't be more proud and happy, I feel like they improved so much since their debut, love them <3

bye
