Synopsis : After a brutal transphobic attack within an evangelical church, 56-year-old Mel Rosário embarks on a courageous battle for justice and acceptance. Barred from her place of worship, she protests relentlessly, crafting posters each night and returning to the church’s doors day after day, steadfast in her hope for reconciliation. This documentary intimately follows Mel—a trans hairdresser—as she navigates her long and deeply personal struggle to reclaim her right to faith, set against the backdrop of Bolsonaro’s ultra-conservative Brazil and the isolating shadow of the pandemic.
