C'est l'un des tous premiers groupes dans lequel joue Morello ; c'est, en tout cas, le seul labelisé avant RATM. Son style de jeu et son son ne sont pas encore semblables à ceux de l'époque de RATM, mais l'album médiocre témoigne malgré tout des expérimentations du guitariste, dans un style assez blues.
Lock Up se dissout après seulement un an d'existence, et c'est sur les cendres de bref projet que né Rage Against the Machine.
