Enregistré me 4 janvier 1969 au célèbre studio Chess de Chicago avec une brochette de star américaine.
Pas mal. Du bon blues bien sixties avec se sont tranchant de Peter Green qui marche toujours super bien. Bon après, c'est vraiment des jam blues du coup c'est un peu long parfois...

The members of Fleetwood Mac at the time of this recording were Peter Green (guitar, vocals), Jeremy Spencer (guitar, vocals), Danny Kirwan (guitar, vocals), Mick Fleetwood, (drums), and John McVie (bass guitar). The Chicago blues musicians who played at this session were Otis Spann (piano, vocals), Willie Dixon (upright bass), Shakey Horton (harmonica, vocals), J.T. Brown (tenor saxophone, vocals), Buddy Guy (guitar), Honeyboy Edwards (guitar, vocals), and S.P. Leary (drums).

Quelques jours après ces jams de folie à Chicago, et le lendemain d'une journée déjà bien chargé, le groupe retrouve avec Otis Spann et en remet une couche.
Enregistré à New York le le 9 Janvier 1969

It was agreed beforehand that Spann's friend and longtime associate S.P. Leary would play drums on the album, and Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood did not take part in the recording. Guitarists Peter Green and Danny Kirwan, and bassist John McVie all contributed to the sessions.

Disc 1 tracks 1 to 10 recorded at the Carousel Ballroom San Francisco CA on June 9, 1968 (first set), 11 to 14 (second set).
Disc 2 tracks 1 and 2 (second set), 3 to 5 on June 7 or 8, 1968.

Annotation :

The Christine Perfect Band tracks were recorded on 24 November 1969 at the BBC Recording Studios, Maida Vale, London, for the Dave Lee Travis Sunday Show.

Tracks 5–7 on disc one were recorded on 10 November 1970 at the Paris Cinema, Lower Regent Street, London, for the BBC Radio 1 Club.

Tracks 8–9 on disc one were recorded on 24 November 1970 at Maida Vale for the Mike Harding – Sound of the Seventies programme.

Tracks 10–16 on disc one were recorded live in concert in 1970, and disc two was recorded live in concert in January 1971, shortly before Jeremy Spencer left the band in February. Tracks from the band's most recent album Kiln House feature heavily, but there is also a song ("I'm on My Way") from Christine McVie's solo album Christine Perfect, and another ("Don't Go Please Stay") from Spencer's solo effort Jeremy Spencer. "The Purple Dancer" was the b-side to the band's forthcoming single "Dragonfly", and although it was being played during concerts at this time, the A-side is not present on this release. Spencer's 1950s rock 'n' roll standards are spread throughout the set, along with "The King Speaks", in which Spencer impersonates Elvis Presley.[3][4]
