Le son de la Megadrive / Genesis
Un chip sonore unique (le Yamaha YM2612), avec des sons parfois très criards, que bien peu de compositeurs ont réussi à dompter, se contentant souvent lors des portages de transposer note pour note les compos du jeu d'origine pour un résultat au mieux gênant, au pire cacophonique.
