Résumé : It was in 1900 that Plack first suggested that such fundamental physical phenomena as the passage of light rays do not proceed in an uninterrupted stream bu occur rather in jerks. Energy in fact is absorbed and emitted in bundles of quanta. On this revolutionary concept the sophisticated structure of modern atomic physics is balanced.
