The Sea Serpent is episode 8 of the first season of Flipper & Lopaka, which aired in 1999. In this episode the adventures of young Lopaka and Flipper his dolphin companion continue as explore the waters that surround their home, where they meet an enormous sea serpent. Will the sea serpent be friend or foe?

Lopaka makes a shocking discovery! The water around the Iloka Island is rising and he doesn't know why. Kerava predicts a huge flood is coming, and the people in the village begin to pack their belongings. An excited Dexter is happy to see the air-breathers go. Meanwhile, Lopaka and Flipper find a way to protect the villagers from the oncoming flood.

Dexter the Octopus plans to scare everyone living on Milhouse after finding an old, creepy scuba-diving suit. He wants to be king of the island, and the only way to accomplish this is to frighten away Flipper's parents. Lopaka discovers Dexter's scheme and in the processes of exposing him, Flipper, Dexter and Lopaka face an angry shark.
