Joe, Owen, et Terry sont amis depuis des années. Joe rêvait d’être golfeur professionnel, mais dirige un magasin. Owen travaille avec son père à vendre des voitures. Terry veut toujours devenir acteur.

Joe vit dans un hôtel depuis la séparation et commence à penser qu’il lui faudrait un appartement. Owen se voit changer sa voiture par son père, ce qui embarrasse sa femme qui décide de se rendre à la concession. Terry cherche à retrouver un homme qui a failli le renverser.

S1 E3 • Mind's Eye

Joe essai de se reconnecter avec son fils, Albert, en lui enseignant le golf. Mais lorsque l'équipe de golf de l'école s'apprête à participer à une compétition, Albert réticent à monter dans le bus. Owen est déterminé à faire grimper ses ventes sans pour autant se sentir mal d'arnaquer ses clients. Terry prend son rôle trop à cœur lorsqu'un collègue lui demande ainsi qu'à une actrice de jouer le couple intéréssé lors d'une visite immobilière.

Owen et Melissa rejoignent l'ex-femme de Joe, Sonia et son nouveau petit ami Harold, lors d'une opération caritative dans une école. Terry est commissaire-priseur pour l'évènement et rencontre un ancien amour.

Joe recounts the tale of the first date he’s gone on in 20 years. The misadventures include a black eye, a potentially embarrassing encounter with one of his employees, an unfortunate piece of advice from Terry, an anxious Little Leaguer and a poorly placed lamp.

Joe goes to see his retired father, who gives new meaning to the word grumpy. Owen’s wife and mother get upset when a commercial for the auto dealership implies that Owen’s co-worker, Marcus, is actually Owen Sr.’s son. And Terry becomes obsessed over finding out why he has been rejected for a youth mentoring program.

Joe’s bookie finds out Joe used to be a professional golfer and decides to use him to hustle a couple of guys. Owen’s family becomes concerned over his increasing weight. And Terry gets a new apartment, but the apartment manager job that comes with it is a bit much to handle.

Desperate to buy a house after his son develops anxiety issues related to their family situation, Joe decides to bet $25,000 on a basketball game. Terry is forced to face the dire condition of his acting career when he agrees to take a bit part on a B movie. And Owen’s father decides it’s time to cut back on his work load and let Marcus take over more of the day-to-day management of the dealership.

Feeling guilty about his rapid downward spiral, which includes treating his son poorly and having to cut back on staff at his store, Joe decides to stop gambling. Owen finds a new sense of purpose when he goes to work for a rival auto dealership following his father’s decision to turn management over to Marcus. And Terry’s life spins out of control when his gig on a movie results in disasters at the apartment complex.
