Frustrating

I watched the first 4 episodes of the show and it was 3 too many. I kept expecting to understand the motivations of the characters and still couldn’t figure it out after episode 4.

```Why is Mother doing what she does ? Because she’s a narcissist, yeah ok. That’s it ?

Why is Amy/Freya still seeing mother when she seems to hate everybody else and has gotten out of the Kindred, rejecting the whole lifestyle that goes with it? Stockholm syndrome ? Who knows.

The story is ambitious but it’s throwing too much at you with too little character development.
Plus the story gets back and forth in time and characters aging (or « youngening ») is not handled well so it makes it hard to believe and got my focus out of the story.

On a more personnal note, I found Amy/Freya not to be a very likeable character, in spite of all the trauma she went though and the empathy that should have come with it.

I will not watch the rest of the series.
