Vu en compétition à Premiers Plans.
A film that waits for half its duration with a narration of the events leading into the central trouble, only to reveal itself as a good old one woman / two males suspense... but with a little play on who is the femme fatale, the woman or her true lover who has to hide as a transvestite?
Nice choreographies.
Fun locations (fake ones).
Music by none other than Gabriel Yared, with some hitchcockian tunes.
Score: 6/10
Enjoyment: 4/5
Always nice to get an occasion to hear Fame.
Discussion notes:
The actor behind the locksmith is famous as the patriarch in a 20 years long soap-opera.
Multiple references.
Watched scream at ten, making him obsessed with slasher/thrillers. Took Psycho in the vidéoclub and it was an "apocalypse" leading to more Hitchcock. Hitch is an integral part of the director's DNA.
1year long random rehearsals, 1 final months actual scenes...
