Vu sur OK.
A very good looking chimera with too visible stitchings and too recognizable parts ― Schrader really tried hardfor hommages and contemporary relevancy with that tweak ― with a very fine Hawke (that was what I was most looking forward and I wasn't disappointed) to make it a more easy watching.
The main character's "conversion" is quite strong and sudden but one can put that on the void he "had to" fill.
Something I had a hard time to get by with the (expected but personally annoying) woman solution.
Actors were fine except the briefly seen suicidal husand. (Max von Sydow would have probably made for a more convincing soul obsessed by the end of the world.)
Score: 6/10
Enjoyment: 3/5
This shouldn't have been an internet-movie in France.
PS: C'est tout de même surprenant de voir ce film trôner à la seconde place sur le "top Schrader".
