Roman lu en anglais (édition Vertical)
This novel is just another teenager meets vampire/stranger thing (with the supposed over-sexuality of male teens and of "Miss Perfect under a mask"), where the young hero finally discovers what he wants/who he is.
The book offers a few compelling moments about it through the usage of first-person narration. And the cherry on top of it is the attention the narrator gives to the reader and the few (sub)cultural references.
Otherwise, it is a very classic thing whose only appeal is the series of three overbuilded fights making for the story's progression.
The anime could have been slightly better if they didn't remove the few inner-dialogues about Araragi while removing only those who make him either antipathetic or awkward.
