Synopsis : Il y a un millier d'années, dans une époque chaotique, vivaient les gargouilles. Pierres le jour, guerriers la nuit, ces créatures ont été trahies par les humains qu'elles devaient protéger lors de leur combat contre les Vikings, et ont été figées sous leur aspect de pierre par un maléfice. Il est dit que 1000 ans plus tard, le sort sera brisé lorsque le chateau où se trouvent les gargouilles s'érigera au dessus des nuages. A notre époque, l'industriel David Xanatos rachète le château et le fait reconstruire pierre à pierre au sommet de son building. Libérées du sortilège, les gargouilles et leur leader Goliath reviennent à la vie, tentant de s'adapter à leur nouvelle époque et nourissant une certaine rancoeur envers le genre humain. Ils vont néanmoins se faire une amie, en la personne de la policière Elisa, qui leur apprendra à se familiariser avec le 21eme siècle.
