Vu sur Chérie 25, avant le premier chapitre.
Idem, except there are less laugh to be had, and it's more interesting since the story reaches its dramatic development the first film exists only to lead to.
Daroussin, getting the more interesting character, being the best actor of the whole cast and his role getting a larger part in this part, also adds to Fanny/
Looking exactly like the previous one because they're simply a single film cut in halves, you'll be annoyed by how orangy-browny movie Marseilles still looks like with this second one.
Score: 5/10
Enjoyment: 4/5
Better than the first part because of its content.
Overall, it's a serviceable telling of a potentially good story (albeit one seen a thousand times). Given how many times those plays by Pagnol were adapted worldwide, there are certainly better renderings out there.
