Vu sur Film4.
A film that starts by winking at its audience, promising something "Groundhog Day funny" but that doesn't exploit its possibilities, ending neither amusing enough nor gory/violent (like a General Audience slasher), in a bland way.
The actress, albeit quite old to play a college student even for cinema/TV standards (I initially thought she was an adult who had sex with a kid), made the film probably better than it would have been with other relatively anonymous actresses.
The end doesn't really make sense, but it isn't that bad given the style of the film.

The murder mystery solving isn't an actual goal of the movie, so the sudden solution given to it is not really a problem.

If the packaging around the concept is refined enough for later attempts (two sequels seem to exist), an ultimately good film might exist, just like the ultimately good end the heroin gets.

Un Jour sans fin est un film tellement génial, avec une idée scénaristique tellement géniale que cela aurait été dommage qu'elle ne soit pas exploitée ailleurs. Edge of Tomorrow l'a fait pas trop mal...

Derrière le concept plutôt sympa repris d'un jour sans fin (qui est cité assez gratuitement dans le film) mais façon slasher, se cache surtout un film sans idée aucune. C'est franchement dommage.....
