It looks rather like a dream to me or more of a nightmare. These characters are wandering in space with no other goal than cross a black hole, they delayed their sentence to death with this experiment: nonsensical tasks to keep them alive and sain until the achievement of their goal: death. Unfortunately it doesn't work for all of them.
This movie feels more like an experiment than a finished piece but some parts are still interesting. The characters are not well developed and most of the movie is spend in an awkward silence filled with sexual tension, boredom and anger.
