Premiers Plans 2022, Prix Jean Carmet (meilleur acteur), Dimitri Doré.
A well made period psychological portrait coldly dissecting a murderer's life leading to his crime.
Sadly, it is so trapped in the basics of sex/death impulse, sublimation, masturbation, repressed homosexuality and all that stuff that it feels like reading a Psychological textbook. Classes clash is evocated for a bit of diversity.
The actors play well the boy standing out more and more as he grows older until he commits the inevitable in this era of early mind sciences still dominated by religion (especially in rural areas).
- I constantly feel the urge of killing my fellow young boys.
- Have you ever thought about entering the seminar?
