Restauration vue en Fuori orario, "Mesdames et Messieurs, l'anti-colonialisme."
The perfect antonym of subtlety, this film is set to denounce in the bluntest way possible the racist stench of France's 60s society (at the very least among its colonial class).
It suffers from the dubbing and its non-professional actors although the stilted acting of the main actress works at time in its favour and is mostly "patched up" by the nagging narration of her thoughts. The resulting rawness might also support the indictment (just like the simple direction does).
Past the real life inspired consequence, the epilogue finally felt like watching something.
What could have been an almost good medium-length film ends up stretched to feature-length.
