Vu sur ARTE, Summer of Voices, soirée "Sœur Sourire".
By-the-numbers biographical picture with no particular quality.
Mediocrity is missed by two points:
- despite trying to tie the whole ordeal thematically, it is sparse and feels artificial,
- the time never flows in an apparent way, the film seemingly stucked in time despite the events adding up over what should be clearly a long period.
Score: 4,5/10
Enjoyment: 3/5
Still better than the US "biopic" (pure fantasy), but the 52mn documentary following it was more interesting.
