Vu en simulcast (sur ?).
Good to see something going against its period's trends. As for the rest...
It was pretty exhausting at times, notably thanks to the proeminence of LINE text messaging to express various dialogues (you should never center episodes around instant messaging). On the other hand, the use of it to present various later life moments in the ending was a good choice (though it wasn't used to depict anything interesting in itself).
The whole series seemed to aim for a certain realism by portraying middleschoolers scheming, being jealous, stupid and senseless etc like we expect while having in mind a conclusion making the heroes look like extraordinary people.
After a while, I felt like this was something good for 10year olds (the ones who would still be able to believe in those school crushes lasting forever) but made for young adults (night anime).
The final outcome came out of nowhere for a supposedly down-to-earth romance, despite being clearly planned. Also, after discussing their future at several occasions, we have no idea how it turned out for both of them (unless a wedding and a baby were their only good perspectives).
Technically, there were many drawings problems (things (dis)appearing, faces, etc) but I liked the characters drawing style. Though this white outline for light made the insertion on full CGI backgrounds* even uglier than in Witch Hunter Robin. That's sad because both the characters and backgrounds are fine on their own. Some scenes focusing on their feelings, notably crying ones, looked quite good compared to what I'm used to.
Score: 5~7/10. Totally forgettable as soon as you stop considering its time frame.
Enjoyment: 2/5
Mention spéciale aux scénettes clôturant chaque épisode.
