After finishing Season 3 tonight, I haven’t quite decided where lies the genius of “SUCCESSION”. Is it:
• In the intricate corporate spider web of a story, brewing in the ever more thickening (and sickening!) plot of a quintessential family “tragicodramedy”?
• Or in the suspicion this show is the work of an army of Machiavellian writers, each one devoted to a single character, making sure every dialogue lands in flawless character-development unison?
• Or maybe it’s in the near perfection of every player, all killing each other softly, without shedding a single drop of real blood?
But why choose? It’s all of these combined that make this the #BestShowOnTV. May they all live miserably long and prosper.
I have the feeling that if Shakespeare himself saw this show, he would blush…with pride.
